Yes. It should be noted that scanning functionality is dependent upon the features of your scanner. Some scanners preview the image as you scan, some will allow you to proof the pages before you accept them, and some can edit the scanned images before importing into the Little Green Fileroom™. These are all dependent upon the scanner you are using, not the the Little Green Fileroom™ program.
You can use your Little Green Fileroom™ on any Windows compatible computer with .NET Framework 2.0 installed. If the computer does not have .NET Framework 2.0, it can be easily downloaded from www.microsoft.com. The .NET Framework 2.0 has been the standard for only a few years, but most older PCs have also been upgraded during regular system updates.
Data will not be left on the host PC unless you edit the document outside of the Little Green Fileroom™ or you sync the the Little Green Fileroom™ USB to your PC.
No, you are able to view documents independent of the host computer’s software, with the exception of Microsoft Office documents. In order to view Office documents inside the Little Green Fileroom™ program, the host PC must have Office 97 – 2003 installed. (Office 2007 is not currently supported - check for updates to this). For a free Office viewer, download OpenOffice from www.openoffice.org. Adobe Reader is required to view Adobe PDF files in the Little Green Fileroom™ program. This can be downloaded for free at www.adobe.com.
Yes, as long as you edit the file outside of the Little Green Fileroom™ in the appropriate application and do not change the file name or location when saving.
Yes. The U3 drive is yours to do with as you please. There are many applications available for download, but the Little Green Fileroom™ cannot guarantee the software or how it will affect the Little Green Fileroom™ or your documents.
If you have synched your Little Green Fileroom™ with your PC (by installing the Backup PC Version), you may simply download the indexed the Little Green Fileroom™ documents, including digital folders, subfolders and indexes, from your PC directly to your new Little Green Fileroom™. Synching allows you to store the documents to your PC just as they are stored on your Little Green Fileroom™, eliminating the need to re-import, re-scan and re-index your files.
If you have registered your Little Green Fileroom™ with the Serial Number and someone reports to Source Code Systems that they have found it, we will take the steps necessary to mail your the Little Green Fileroom™ to you. You can download Find My U3 by clicking Add Programs from the Launchpad, or by visiting http://software.u3.com/.
